What is Assistance League? It is one of the oldest and most successful non-profit agencies in the country, but it has been flying under the radar for many years. Conceived by Anne Banning and Ada Edwards Laughlin in 1894 to help less forunate community members help themselves, Assistance League continues to help many thousands of people across the country every year. Run entirely by volunteers, Assistance League provides help to people in their chapter’s community with programs such as Operation School Bell® which provides shoes and clothing for needy children, and projects for seniors that provide services such as companionship, in-home meals and special events.
After undertaking a substantial re-branding effort to increase their visibility within the community, they called upon us to help with creating a package to use as a tool in securing partnerships with large corporations to enhance their volunteer efforts throughout the country. The challenge was to create something that would catch the corporate eye, but not lose the grassroots soul of the organization.
